  • Quilts needed

Yes, Wrap Them in Love will be sending quilts to victims of Harvey and Irma.  The folks in these areas will be needing help for a long time, so this will definitely be ongoing.  We need quilts of all sizes – even your slightly used quilts as long as they are clean and in good shape.  If you want, you can enclose a note of encouragement that I will send along with the quilts.  Quilters, you know what to do!  Thank you so much,  Ellen

  • Boxes in the mail

Posted on May 25th, 2017 Wrap'em No comments

The mail lady has been busy again.  First a box full of fabric came from Elizabeth in VA.  The prints are so cute and will be used to make several quilts.  There are even large pieces that will be great for quilt backs.

A soft and cuddly little quilt arrived from Hallie, a high school student in Montana.   She did a beautiful job!  This quilt will bring so much love and comfort to the little one who hugs it.

Two handquilted quilts have arrived from Minneapolis, Kansas.  They are so nice, and a great size too.  They will be great for any age.  There is so much love in every stitch.

We really appreciate time, talent and your caring hearts.

A huge Thank You goes out to all who have sent donations.  Your work is so much appreciated and we couldn’t get more quilts to those who need them without you!

Two big boxes came from Phoenix Arizona today.  They are filled with hand quilted quilts in various stages as well as some sewing supplies.  The pictures do not do these justice, they are so amazing!  When they are finished, you’ll be able to see the pictures of the whole quilts.

    Thank you so much!

Another box came from Ro who was sewing blocks for Wrap Them in Love while on a trip!  Look at all of these beautiful quilt blocks.  We will be able to make several quilts from these.  Ro makes little dresses and shorts for children that she donates to a charity.  With all of the colorful scraps, she makes quilts and blocks for us.  Ro, we really appreciate you!

  • Quilts!

Two packages came in the mail yesterday.  The first from LaMesa, California.  A group of quilters all made star blocks, then traded so that each member ended up with 12 different blocks.  One quilter donated her blocks along with fabric for a back and binding.  Aren’t they wonderful?

The second box came from New City, New York.  There are 3 small finished quilts as well as 4 beautiful quilt tops and a set of blocks to make more quilts.  There is also plenty of fabric for backs, bindings and even more quilts!  —So beautiful!

  • We are still here!

Posted on May 2nd, 2017 Wrap'em No comments

It has been quite a few years since we have had this blog online.  Wrap Them in Love is still here, and quilters around the world are still quilting so that we can provide quilts to little ones in need of a hug and a snuggle.

I thought about taking down the original posts, but when reading through them, it was like visiting old friends, so I will leave them here.  We have lost some of our supporters who used to post.

Nana passed away at the age of 80 (almost 81) in March of 2010.  In 2009, she finished 113 quilts for Wrap Them in Love.

We lost Bev from Alaska.  Thank you to Carol E for telling me the month and year.  It was in July 2010.  She was an amazing quilter and such an inspiration for so many.  We always looked for the heart that she quilted in a corner of her quilts.

In August 2016 we lost Jutta from Canada.  She was so happy to get to spend some time with her first grandchild.

We miss them all, their beautiful quilting, and their amazing encouragement they gave to the rest of us.

I hope that we hear from you.  Let us know what you are working on.
